Floriography, or the secret language of flowers has been a means of communication over thousands of years and practiced in cultures throughout the world.

Symbolic 'secret' botanical meanings was my inspiration for this group of fabric collage portraits. Everything is stitched together with vintage fabrics, photo transfers, deconstructed prints and a splash of paint to create a collage with hidden meanings.

This is a unique piece of art. Although it is made predominately from fabric and natural fibers, washing in a matching or submerging in water is not recommended. Spot cleaning for any direct contact with water and a gentle touch is best practice.

If your art piece is not in a frame and is an open surface exposed to dust, a light brushing or gentle breeze to clean will keep the piece looking fresh.

Do not hang in hard sun, fabrics will fade quickly.
